 March 2007 – Feb. 2010 PhD fellow, Department of History and Area Studies, AU.  The tasks included:   

  • Research on the negotiation of local and transnational interests in the former Danish trading colony Tranquebar with emphasis on the present restoration and tourism development which promotes Tranquebar as a heritage town.
  • Teaching at two courses: “Cultural Heritage – the Past in the Present” (autumn semester 2008), a course for students at BA level, which included supervision of students and examination of BA theses, and ”History, Myths and Narratives in an Anthropological Perspective” (autumn semester 2009), a course for students at BA level and open university at the Department of Cross-cultural and Regional Studies, UC.
  • Co-convening “Globalized Heritage”, an international research seminar for PhDs, held in cooperation between the Danish Research School of History and the Danish Research School of Anthropology and Ethnography.
 Dec. 2004 – Feb. 2007 Various academic project employments at the Museum of Møn, a local museum of cultural history, covering the period 1660 to the present. The tasks included:   

  • Work as a museum curator with special responsibilities for dissemination
  • Curating temporary and permanent exhibitions

Responsibilities for research grant reviews

  • I am registered on the experts database of the European Commission Research Executive Agency and have participated as expert evaluator in assessments of applications for Horizon2020 funding
  • I am a member of the Academic and International Group in the Arts and Humanities Research Council UK Peer Review College
  • In 2015 I served as grant application reviewer for the Marsden Fund, Royal Society of New Zealand
